Fighters

Fighters are the bodies your character controls in order to climb the Tower of Barbs. They come in five different ranks that influence their overall strength, as well as a variety of classes with different stat priorities.

New Fighters can be purchased from the Fighter Depot, accessible from empty slots in the Fighter Freezer. Newly bought Fighters have a chance of gaining one or more extra levels in a random stat, giving them slightly higher level caps than the default. These extra levels seem to differ with rank; a Rank 3 Fighter may gain +2 levels, a Rank 4 Fighter may gain +3 levels, etc.

Unlocking New Ranks

Rank 1 (1,000 KC, level cap 25-27):

• All-rounder is available for free from the beginning of the game.

• Striker and Collector are unlocked on Floor 3.

• Defender, Attacker, Shooter, Skill Specialist, and Lucky Star are unlocked on Floor 6.

Rank 2 (4,000 KC, level cap 48-54):

• All-rounder, Striker, and Collector are unlocked after killing the 10th Floor Don, Max Sharp.

• Defender, Attacker, Shooter, Skill Specialist, and Lucky Star are unlocked on Floor 13.

Rank 3 (10,000 KC, level cap 72-84):

• All-rounder, Striker, and Collector are unlocked after killing JIN-DIE on Floor 16.

• Defender, Attacker, Shooter, Skill Specialist, and Lucky Star are unlocked on Floor 17.

Rank 4 (25,000 KC, level cap 96-114):

• All classes unlock on Floor 25.

Rank 5 (50,000 KC, level cap 120-144):

• All classes unlock on Floor 35.
